What I Think So Far...

From way back in September one of the thinks that i was looking to do for this project was to challanage myself and not do something that was to easy and not make it too hard for myself.So i dived myself into this world that i created from my imaginateion and i chaged the idea bit by bit as i went along so i am sorry if iv missed out on changing somthing and not saying anything about it but im sure i covered every thing up till now with my game and my blog. If i could change one think it would be to have added more digital art concepts to my work and not concertrate on tradishanial work so much also it would be good if i had been a bit more planned as i went along but im seeing the imporants of doing so and making sure i keep up with it as i go along with the Neg 1 and i ll carry it on in Neg 2 as well. With this project iv pushed myself to think outside of my box and do something out of my normal areas of thinking id like to think that iv been doing the right thing with this project but im aware that i got carry away with my narrative work so to help me get around this i think that in Neg 2 i will be concertrating on other aspects more then this.

I think that adding the basic lighting effects has added so much depth to the concepts design but theres still much more to do before assements start im nearly back on track with it

This is the next stage in my final piece when iv added some basic colour and layered it all on different layers plus iv put the gun on a seperate layer so i might bring in a breahing featurefor him at the end maybe.

The game its self

As you may have read so far from Andys bio or Jimmys bio that they are reunighted on the station after Jimmey betrayed Andy and left him on the mineing world to be arrested. Now dueing the time they were there they didnt talk much but there where a few fights but Jimmy kept saying that he would finish the job and make sure that he never tell anyone what he found that day back on the mining world when they found the tomb of Zor.
Now Andy is just wanting to go home to earth and start over but one night Jimmy over hears this and tells him that he will never get off here alive so when it came time for Andy to leave the Station when his sentance had ended he desided that he would go and tryto make pecase with Jimmy but he could not find him any where so later when he is being preped for the cryo freezing process for the trip home Andy is in one of the cryo shipping tanks to be transported back to earth and as he fell asleep he hears an alarm go off and then a huge explodsion.
10 years later Andy wakes up on the space port deck in his cryo tank and doesnt now why he is still here on the station and not on earth so he has to adventure though a space station invested with some sort of alien race and to top it all off he has to escape an antient evil that had take the mind of his old friend Jimmy and will stop at nothing to kill him and stop him escaping. Now about 1/3 of your way though the games containt after you swich the communication back on Abby starts helping you by gathing parts for the ship and suriving in general plus powering up parts of the ship that you need to in order to live.
Now the way jimmy has tried to stop Andy form leaving is by using The Heart of Zor ( the artifact he found in the underground tomb on the mining world a few years before) to resurrect Zor in his phisicle form to stop andy. So that now he has come out of his cryo tank he can now be picked up by Zors vision and the hunt has began. what Andy doesnt now is that that Jimmy had to give up his body to bring forth Zors and he can now switch between the 2 at any time so this is how he can confuse Andy and get him to drop his guard.

Changing the plan

With this final piece iv had some worring thoughts in the back of my head that the detail im looking for cant be found with my skills in tradishal painting plus most companys concept artistes work is all persented in a digital form so i think that i need to push myself that little bit more and do it all digitaly.

The Final Piece for Neg 1...

For my final piece im going to be painting a image of the gameplay mode with my hud designs taken thought in digital over the tradisonal work and showing all my ideas in some way or form with one (or two) final pieces

Big Jimmy (Gray Scale)

This is Big Jimmey as he is known in the prision and was friends with Andy at one point in there pass.
Big Jimmy or Jim as he was called back then was only a child in a rich family but his parents were always very distance from him as they were scared of him but he never new why. At the age of 14 he ran away from home and found passage off world by smuggling him self in a persons suit case and after being found when the plane was being unloaded was handed over the seruity at the space port. After spending 4 years in a small time jail he started looking for work but it was harder then he thought it would be and ended up living on the streets. Over the next 5 years Jimmy be came a part of a large gang and after a big robbey he was captured by law enforcement and taken off world to be put into a sercet part of the WWG that is designed to help keep crimial from filling up prisions and put them to work in a mine which is where Jimmy mate Andy and the 2 looked out for one other untill Jimmy found a under ground tomb and with out telling anyone he went looking saying to him self that "this could be my big break".As he went forward the sounds of Andy calling out to him faded and a darkness fell over him as he found a huge chest that looked like i could be opened so jimmy went at it with his tools and after a little while he broke into it and found a huge Skelital structure that look like to him a alien of some sort. Then as he stond there amazed by the size of it he notice it was holding some thing he quickly realised it was a priceless artifact so as the sound of guards coming into the tomb he put the artifact on his person to hide it he felt something new as he picked it up and he could hear a voice calling him to let him out to free him from his prision.
About a year later Jimmy and Andy tryed to make a run for it and capture a shipbut as they got to a ship Jimmy some how got on bored the ship and started the engine before Andy could get on so after that jimmy was able to escape and continue studing to artifact. It took a hole year for the police to capture him but their had been alot of reports from people where he had been spotted that say he had been setting animals on people and using what peopl were calling Black Magic on people.
Law enforement in that sector sended him to the most dangous place in the Universe a Space in prisionment station on the far end of the Galaxey orbiting Pluto which is were he bummed into Andy again and disided to make his life a person hell for him.

Andy Richards ( Gray Scale)

From the beginging Andy is Thrown into his own personal hell and as the player makes there way though the game you can you will find out all about Andy & Abbys pass as well as the history of the Space prision and what went on there.
Andy was only a child when he lost his parents to a new form of virus that attacks the human heart Addy was luck to young and was treted but there was never a cure found so Andy is on medicakion that lows his heart rate because if it gets to high the virus starts to attack ( so the trick is to keeep his heart beat low and its affect will not kick in and slow Andy down or kill him over time if not escapedfrom danager or treated with medicaksion).
Dueing his teen years he was a bit of a rebal and hang out withn the wrong crowed and was always thought to be the part of the group that was expenable so when he and his friend where 19 there was a robbery and with out nowing it he was the bate after that Andy was forced to escape from jail in a small town in England. When Andy was 25 he was off world working for a mining core operation which was apart of a serect part of the WWG (World Wide Goverment ) which basical helped them line the Goveners pockets with extra money. the hole program used Ex cons and people that wanted to hide from the out side world like Andy. Andy had alot of skills form all his years on the streets and then on the run now his skills in mining were apart of that to. about a year into his new job he meet Jimmy how was just about a year older then Andy but one day Jimmy had obtained some sort of artifact in the mine which jimmy stole but he had Andy Framed for the thefted of the Artifact the next thing Andy new was him being put in prision at some sort of special installshion out in space after about a year there Jimmy turned up there after being arrested for what people were saying was Black Magic but Andy new better and new he had opened the power in the artifact he had found that day in the mining core. Later on when Andy turned 32 he was put up for an early release which Andy got after showing that he was no longer a danger to the general public.
Now the trip back to earth is about 8 to 10 years long so on this joureny people are put into cryo statis tank and frozen for the trip back to earth. the last thing Andy remembered before the freezing process was complete was the alarms going off and some blood being spreaded across the screen of the tank he was in.

Abby Whisper (Gray Scale)

This is Abby she is one of the main charaters that the player intertacts with thought the course of my game but you do not play as her. Abby is 31 and after havin a rough child hood she joined the space marine core because as a kid she always wanted to fly and she would spend hours every time she got the change too looking at spacships taking off and leaving earth from the rooftops of the slums that she lived in with her family and friends. when she turned 16 her and some of her friends smuggled themselfs on one of the ships for a joke and with out realiseing it the ship took off and they were stuck there about an hour later her and her friend were found but as they turned the ship around to take them back the base they had took off from had been destroyed it with the slums next to it as well it was never known what had happened there so for the next 2 years Abby was trained to fly the space ship that she had smuggled herself on to and her friend after a bit of time went there ways and got jobs else where. When Abby got to 21 she enlisted in the spacecore and after spending about a year in training she was given a pair of her own wings for the next 10 years she had done alot of flights and missions now she is just retuning home when her emerency alarm goes off because her ship has picked up a signal coming for space station that Andy is straned on can Abby help him?
